Founder of Jeena

Rani has an unique and innovative approach to challenging social issues of domestic violence, human rights, gender equality, female genital mutilation, forced marriages, child sexual exploitation, sexuality and disability within the BAMER communities. She has been raising awareness on these social issues on a local, national and international level for over 20 years. Rani is respected, valued and a passionate keynote speaker who is able to articulate to communities as well as professionals.

She has tirelessly campaigned and lobbied Parliament in raising awareness of sex selection abortions by obtaining votes in Parliament. Rani regularly contributes to the government's Forced Marriage Unit, Violence Against Women and Girls. Launching grassroot initiatives such as 'Ugly Side of Beauty' and 'Safe ToolKit' and Jeena SuitCases, which has helped and supported the vulnerable. 

Rani understands the challenges people face and recognises solutions that can be implemented taking all limitations and economic environment into consideration. Representing Thames Valley for the Shanaz Project (ACPO led Prevent project), delivering training  and engaging with grassroot communities and Hate Crime Champion, Thames Valley Police IAG, CPS hate crime panel member, numerous media appearances including Jihadi Brides and other social issues. 

Rani has frequently appeared on TV, radio and in articles on  BBC News, BBC World News, BBC Victoria Derbyshire, BBC Newsnight, ITV Good Morning, Al Jazeera, Akaal Channel, Sikh, Venus, MATV, Marie Claire, The Guardian, Daily mail, The Telegraph, Australian Broadcasting Corporation, Times of India, Des Pardes and Eastern Eye, as a key speaker.

Having worked in both the public and private sector in all aspects of HR work, Sharan brings with her 20 years of experience and knowledge of all HR aspects.

Sharan has a passion for coaching and in empowering women and girls to realise their goals and together working towards reaching their true potential. Sharan enjoys developing and running confidence workshops making learning new skills fun and interactive for the attendees. She is an advocated for women’s right and creating a fair and peaceful world. Sharan has appeared on Radio Berkshire. She is a Confidence /Mindfulness Coach and a NLP Practitioner.

Rupee Chagar

Rupee has been volunteering for Jeena for the last 6 years. Rupee has supported and helped many people, especially the vulnerable within the community. She has a talent for remaining calm in all situations and bringing her sense of calm and dignity to help others. Rupee brings to the team her down to earth approach, with a great sense of humour. She enjoys building relationships, good rapport and adapting to the needs and the situation of the client.
